Yabby Lake is dedicated to bringing to the wine lovers across China the super and ultra premium wines it produces in Australia. Yabby Lake Offers a unique wine experience and engages with the consumer one on one.

Yabby Lake is rapidly developing a national distribution structure via a network of wine distributors across China. In 2008, Yabby Lake broke new ground for an Australian wine company with the opening of a Cellar Door in Guangdong Province, China. The opening of the cellar door is a significant step in our long term commitment to China. Plans are already underway to expand the Cellar Door experience into Beijing, Qingdao and Shanghai, among other major cities. Watch this space!

The Cellar Door

The Yabby Lake Cellar Door offers a wine education experience not seen in the Chinese market until now. Wines from Yabby Lake Vineyard, Red Claw, Heathcote Estate and Cooralook are available for tasting and purchase alongside our affiliated brand Escarpment of Martinborough, New Zealand.

Our goal is to build an international reputation for our portfolio which is synonymous with ultra premium wines. We believe that having a physical presence and a point of connection via a cellar door experience will help us deliver on that. We want our customers in China to experience our wines in an environment that gives them a strong sense of the places and people that produce them.

The cellar door also provides a range of typical cellar door merchandise such as glassware and other wine accessories. The retail space is approximately 250 sqm and includes internal and external spaces with a seating capacity of 60, for visitors to enjoy their wine experience.
